The Sing Off...

Wow, a lot of people are curious about the white girl from Afro Blue. Specifically, people want to know if she's pregnant.

I'll check in a bit later with my thoughts on the matter - for the record, I have no idea. I don't think I'll liveblog tonight's show since the competition is over, but I'll chime in with some comments.

Comments after the jump.

Looks like the winning groups from the three seasons are singing Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home). I turned it on while PenTatonix was singing. They made it sound like a Bieber song, then Committed showed up and homeskilled was Beyoncifying the deuce out of it (melismas for days...way too much). Then I was like, "Who won season 1?" right as Nota showed up. They ended it by mixing in the Sing Off theme song.

It looks like there are groups from all three seasons...oh, Nick strutted his ass onstage and told us the top three from each season would be on the show tonight. Why is he introducing the judges? Are we crowning a Christmas Champion? Not to be confused with @christmaschamp on twitter (the crazy Target lady). Flo Rida is going to be on the show tonight for some reason. I read an article online about the winner of the Sing Off and it claimed Flo Rida was on the finale performing with the contestants and was confused. Now I am less confused.

Oh god, Old Man River and the Gang are back. I'm excited for a few groups, especially Street Corner Symphony.

Delilah and the Backbeats are up first doing Mariah Carey's "classic" All I Want for Christmas is You. I guess it's popular enough to be a classic at this point. Delilah is still wearing hideous dresses; it's in their contract.

Oh god, this is turning into a liveblog. Where's tiny little Kenton from the Backbeats? Oh there he is. Still tiny and looking like a cartoon in his little tuxedo. Seriously, can they get Delilah some more flattering dresses? Wait. Is the beatbox girl from the Backbeats SINGING a solo? She just did. The audience was like, "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?" in an excited way.

I really hope we don't get the judges' commentary on this. Why? I don't understand this at all. This is a Christmas special, so why do we need their comments? I'm not bothering with this business. But I will bother with commenting on Sara's outfit tonight. For once, it's not a sparkly lounge act dress, but let's talk about her hair. WTD is that g-d bouffant about? Did they put her in a dress and say, "that's not hideous enough. Let's fuck up her hair."?

Commercial. Maybe I'll come back, maybe I won't...

The Dartmouth Aires are boring me. They're singing All You Need is Love. A few of them have mock protest signs that say things like Ho Ho Hope and Use Your Voice. I need more Hollywood kicks. I guess they're singing by themselves since there are already a million of them. Hollywood got to yell a sassy, "everybody!" but that's not a kiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

Nick, by the way, is wearing a blazer again. Afro Blue and Committed after the break.

This is an interesting mix of groups because Afro Blue isn't R&B at all and Committed is super Boyz II Men style. I'm not enjoying this. Also, I'm staring at Eliza whenever they show her to see if she's pregnant since so many of you seem to be wondering about the status of her uterus. She definitely looks to be wearing a maternity dress. And she sticks out even more now that there are extra black people onstage with her. And since she also looks pregnant. Maybe Nick can tell us if she has a bun in the oven. And if the bun in the oven will be black.

I don't care about the judges' comments, even if the judge they're talking to right now is Ben. Also: Eliza looks totally pregnant. I'm gonna go ahead and confirm it for you. You heard it here first at my random blog entitled You Don't Know My Life: Eliza, the white girl from Afro Blue is totally pregnant because I said so. Someone call Maury so we can find out who the father is.

Street Corner Symphony will be performing Hallelujah. Yay, I spelled it right on the first try. The bald guy appears to be missing from the group and some babyfaced kid with borderline Bieber hair is performing in his place...if I'm not mistaken, he was in The Collective (the group put together by Jeremy - SCS's lead singer). He said something in the vignette I was ignoring about being excited to sing with his brothers. Is he related to Jeremy his bro? Or was he saying brothers like, um, you know... Anyhoo, Jeremy still has the voice of an angel. I need to do some more digging about what happened to the bald guy. I'm sure it was explained in the vignette that I didn't pay attention to.

OK! I did some research and boy am I embarrassed! The babyface with the borderline Bieber hair is Adam Chance, who either lost weight (and got a haircut) or just looked bigger because of his beard. I don't know where the bald guy is. His name is Jon, btw, and I have no idea where he was.

North Shore is singing now and they're annoying me. They should have paired them up with Old Man River and the Gang for an explosion of annoying. They sang Little Saint Nick. I'm taking the dog out.

I walked in and Ben and Sara are singing Baby It's Cold Outside and I see Vocal Point, some of them at least, singing backup. Or maybe just chicken little and a few other dudes who make horn noises for their respective groups. I don't know what's going on. Ben's playing his piano, which is the second time in this show's history that an instrument has been used (the first time was when he busted it out in season one if I remember correctly). Shawn loved it and gave them a standing ovation. Ben sings much better with his piano.

Nick shows up and says he wanted to cuddle up with them since it was such a warm, inviting version of that song. Sara says, "that's weird," and he says, "well, maybe just Sara." Those guys are being referred to as The Sing Off Five. It's Chicken Little, some kid from the Aires, a guy from Afro Blue, and I am horrible with keeping up with these people as individuals.

PenTatonix is up next singing A Very Bieber Christmas or something like that. I won't be commenting...I should have waited to take the dog out.

What rhythm was ripped off for this song? OK, sorry. I commented. Shorty, will you meet me under the mistletoe? I assume that's not slang because Biebs is tiny and you'd have to be a shorty to meet him under the mistletoe. Why is Avi always the one who has to flirt with Kirsty? Are they an item? Why aren't people finding my blog by asking if Avi and Kirsty are dating?

Ugh. Old Man River and the Gang. Ugh. Stop giving this man the spotlight. I don't care who is singing with him because good lord, talk about someone getting a pity vote. I guess it's not their fault because the judges for whatever reason were starstruck by Old Man River and kept him through the finals. It's not like Vocal Point who just flat out pandered to stay in. They were just boring. His group isn't even with him, it's just Jerry Lawson (Old Man River) backed up by a bunch of the other groups' members. I don't know why they're so jazzed about it.

By the way, I'm still waiting for Vocal Point to tell us all how much they sacrificed to go out to LA and sing Christmas songs. Because none of the other groups had to interrupt their lives to do this.

Again with the judges' comments. Shawn is fawning all over Old Man River. Ugh. I thought we were done with this mess!!!

Dartmouth Aires, On the Rocks, and Beelzebubs are teaming up. These are the three large collegiate a capella groups. They're singing Santa Claus is coming to town and set it up to look like they are debate clubs. This is kind of perfect. All of these groups have similar stage personalities.

Ugh. Seriously, I am so over these judge comments. The producers sure love to waste time. All three judges chimed in this time. Seriously, can I have a job, producers? I would force you to cut out all the crap.

Urban Method is doing You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, which works since they have that mohawk guy with the super low voice. Mike (I will not type it the way he spells it) better not start rapping. They seem to be singing this at him...is he the Grinch? I just don't think I'm ready for a rap interpretation of the Grinch. Other than his rap, I enjoyed this.

The Collective is up next and the Shawn will sing with Nota. Because someone needs to throw them a bone.

The Collective is singing Santa Baby...I assume Ruby will take the lead...and she does. OK, that was the guy from the Collective singing with SCS earlier. I shouldn't have doubted myself. And probably should have paid attention to the vignette. And Jonathon Lister is brothers with Jeremy and one of the other guys from SCS. How did I miss that at the beginning of the season? And what happened that SCS was down two guys? I need a bigger attention span. This is why I have a master's degree and not a PhD. Oh, that was a really good version of the song, btw.

They're singing This Christmas and they're all interviewing about how honored they are to sing with Shawn (no offense, but he hasn't really been relevant in the singing world for a while, as much as I enjoy him on this show). He has to sing in Spanish, hahaha. This should be interesting. I noticed he's the only person on this show using the monitors in his ears to sing. I kind of see why he didn't perform last week - doesn't he normally sing bass? I assume a capella groups don't sing with monitors because they need to hear each other to make adjustments. Just guessing, so it's kind of weird that Shawn's all tech'd out. I don't think we heard anything about Nota has been up to, by the way, unless my attention span has failed me again.

Vocal Point is doing a Sinatra-esque Let it Snow. I hate them (there, I said it), so I'm putting them on ignore. Hahaha, did they know I was going to do that? Because Nick just showed up so I would stop ignoring it. I love it when they throw Nick a bone and let him sing. And he didn't have to dance this time, either!

Flo Rida is performing with Urban Method and PenTatonix after the break, it looks like. They showed him showing u for rehearsal looking amazed at the sounds they can produce. Does he have a Christmas song?

I'm still embarrassed by my SCS flub. Adam Chance was totally there, hahaha. Borderline Biebs tweeted a picture of them together, haha.

OK, it's time for Flo Rida. They are doing Good Feeling...I guess that's the current big hit of his. Flo Rida is kind of freak dancing Kirsty and the girl from Urban Method who are taking turns singing the girl part. Now the blonde girl from Urban Method is taking her turn getting freaked by Flo Rida.

I kind of want to hear what Flo Rida has to say about all this. But I won't find out since he took off.

Grand finale with all the groups is up next.

They're singing Happy Christmas by John Lennon and Yoko Ono and dedicating it to the troops. 'merica!!! I'm done for the night!

Thanks for reading and for your concern about the contents of Eliza's uterus. Perhaps I should have done some research on that. Here you go:the "experts" at ChaCha say no. Wait, another site says she is pregnant with a girl.

Apparently, it's a hot topic on the internet, hahaha.

PS: She looked hella pregnant tonight. We'll just pretend she is.

Merry Christmas!!! I have some drunk housewives to watch now.

Eliza is pregnant-a couple of the sing off singers confirmed it on their twitter feeds.
